The Pepe family is an ancient Irpinia family, which for generations has been committed with dedication to the production of its own wines, marketed throughout Italy and abroad.
Angelo Pepe’s value and foresight were appreciated by the then President of the Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, who in 1998 named him: “Cavaliere della Repubblica” for his professional merits. Today, the Estate, thanks also to the work of Milena, the eldest daughter of the Cavaliere – graduated in viticulture and oenology in France and in marketing in Belgium – is managed with charisma and competence and can boast a production of wines of the highest quality.
Tenuta Cavalier Pepe is a synergic activity consisting of: Cellar, Winery, Restaurant and bed-and-breakfast, immersed in the greenery in one of the terroirs of Irpinia viticulture, on the hills of the Calore valley at 500 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Sant’Angelo all’Esca.

The La Veduta restaurant offers tasting menus, an opportunity to taste typical local products and traditional Irpinia dishes.
It is an old farmhouse located right on top of a hill and restored respecting the old identity. It dominates the entire surrounding landscape and faces the hill of S. Angelo all’Esca, so close that the houses seem to be able to be touched with your hands.
