The agricultural cooperative, one of the largest in Italy, was founded in 1960 by 33 far-sighted and courageous members, today it has about a thousand. Farmers who directly cultivate more than 1,500 hectares of vineyards located on hills at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, giving life to an average annual production of about 200,000 quintals of grapes.
It pays great attention to environmental sustainability by using renewable energy from its own innovative photovoltaic system for its production processes.
It owns one of the most important sparkling wine production plants in Southern Italy.
But it is not the numbers that give meaning to Guardiense. The winery, led by only three presidents in fifty years, has been able to adapt to the times and to changing markets, becoming a symbol of technological progress for the entire province and managing to combine experience and modernity.
Landscape, culture and conviviality are the basic values of the welcome of La Guardiense, where the visitor becomes the protagonist, to create a lasting relationship, loyalty to our products curiosity towards our company and, consequently, a positive word of mouth. Furthermore, leaving testimony of the visit with photos, fidelity cards, etc. allows to remember the experience also in the long term and to maintain contacts for further visits after the one lived.
