The CONTRADA MICHELE Company was founded in CANDIDA, a small town in the province of Avellino at 600 meters above sea level, which falls within the DOCG FIANO DI AVELLINO area.
The Mediterranean climate of this area, with cold winters and hot summers, provides a strong temperature range between day and night, especially in summer: a positive factor for the development of aromatic substances.
The Contrada family has been cultivating vines since the early 1900s, but only after two generations, in 2003, the Contrada company was founded, the year in which the first bottles were produced.

At the helm of the company are two brothers, workmates, partners and accomplices: Michele is the most peasant soul, a profound connoisseur of the land and its rhythms and deals exclusively with the vineyards, while Gerardo is interested in sales and marketing with curiosity, always ready to experiment and innovate. The Contrada winery is a place where all wine enthusiasts are welcomed who love to share, through tasting, the winemaking work as a pure expression of the territory and its authenticity.
