The Marzo Company, in Tufo, in the province of Avellino, boasts a winemaking tradition that dates back to the seventeenth century, officially registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Avellino as an Agricultural Company in 1833, making it the oldest winery in Campania and among the oldest in Southern Italy.
Reference producers of Greco di Tufo, for some years it has launched on the market a Selection of Cru di Greco di Tufo DOCG, made from some of its most expressive vineyards: Colle Serrone, Laure and Ortale.
Thanks to the evolutionary potential of wines from Greco grapes, these products, before being placed on the market, spend a further year of refinement in the bottle in the optimal environment of our Historic Cellars.
Visiting the Historic Cellars of the di Marzo family, you are immersed in the history of the Tufo sulfur mines, an integral part of the family’s identity. Through the ancient medieval rock tunnels where the winemaking and conservation of wines still takes place today, you arrive at the tasting room in the family castle.
