The wonderful Sorrento, overlooking the Gulf of Naples, between the sea and fertile hills of vineyards and citrus groves, is the place of origin of the De Angelis Winery. Founded in 1930 by the family of the same name, today it is owned by the Di Somma family. With the young owner Francesco Di Somma, motivated by great passion, the oenologist Angelo Valentino collaborates, aiming together at the goal of producing wines that enhance the territory.
The winery produces approximately 90,000 bottles per year divided between various DOP and IGP wines from the province of Naples, vinifying grapes from both its own vineyards and those supplied by other winemakers.
De Angelis 1930 uses the wisdom of the past oriented by the most modern winemaking techniques. Among the most important labels produced are those linked to the splendid land where the winery is located, the Sorrento DOP: Bianco, Rosso and Kalliope. Special attention is also deserved by the DOP Vesuvio with the three Lacryma Christi, Plinius, Gaius and Drusilla: the exemption from producing outside the area is evidence of De Angelis’ long winemaking experience in the area. Finally, the two IGP Campania, Nero and Bianco del Tasso, respectively pure Aglianico and Falanghina. The values of welcome and hospitality are deeply rooted in the Sorrento culture, which is why Cantina De Angelis 1930 has always been a company open to the territory and the community.
